The G8 Youth Summit is the youth side-event of every G8 Summit since 2006. This yearly Summit is organized by youth association of the country that has host the official Summit.

The 2009 G8 Youth Summit will take place in Milan from the 15th to the 23rd of March. It is hosted by the Luigi Bocconi University and is organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Promoters.

It is based on the activities of talented and motivated graduate and undergraduate students playing the roles of Head of State, Sherpa, Ministers, Head of National Business Association and Technical Experts.

The students will be selected from top universities in the G8 countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, UK, and USA) and the O5 countries (Brazil, China, India, Mexico, and South-Africa).

The G8 Youth Summit is characterized by several activities. The main activity for the students playing the role of Head of State, Sherpa, Ministers and Head of National Business Association will be the discussion of the topics, the negotiations and the draft of a Final Communiqué. Discussions and Negotiations take place in dedicated panels.
