PAYS 2008 Report
On August 2-9, 2008, the 13th Portuguese Atlantic Youth Seminar took place discussing on “What Comprehensive Approach to International Security?”. The PAYS was a good opportunity to bring together young people from the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association, young professionals and students from almost 20 countries to debate the issues of major interest, such as international security, future of the NATO-EU relations, security challenges in Africa, responsibility to protect, a future strategic concept for the Alliance among others. But it was not only this. It was also an extraordinary chance for the participants to learn and discover a little of the Portuguese culture and history.
